Thank you to everyone who came out and supported the first annual "Speak Up for Kids CASA 5K"! Thanks to you, the event was a success. CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of Johnson County hosted over 300 participants!

A big thank you goes to Judge Wayne Bridewell for leading the invocation. We appreciate Bonnie Hubert, Mrs. Texas International 2009, who sang the National Anthem, along with Sterling Bishop, Miss Teen Southeast Texas 2009, who came out to cheer us on. A debt of gratitude to all volunteers who helped recruit participants, as well as volunteered on Saturday during the race! Also, the Cleburne High School Cheerleaders delighted us all by coming out to ring cow bells for our big finish.
We appreciate the Wide Open Band who provided pre- and post-race entertainment for all! We are grateful to the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office and the Cleburne Police Department who provided officers for our safety along the race course; and CareFlite who donated their time and ambulance to be onsite for emergencies. Thanks to BACA who came out to help us through the route, and for their display of bikes. We would like to acknowledge Cleburne Ford for their generous contributions and for displaying the new 2010 Ford Taurus for us to view.
