Lace up your favorite running or walking shoes and Speak Up For Kids at CASA of Johnson County's first 5k and Fun Run/Walk November 21!
CASA of Johnson County would like to celebrate physical fitness among active people of all ages by extending an invitation to stand up for abused and neglected children at our first annual 5k and Fun Run/Walk.
Join us for a fast pace morning of fitness and festivities, including: food, live music by the Wide Open Band, games, meet Mrs. Texas and Miss Southeast Texas, along with many other wrap around events. Following the race, an awards ceremony will take place, recognizing the top runners of each category. Each child participating in the Fun Run/Walk will receive an award.
T-Shirts will be guaranteed to ALL pre-registered participants. Also, the route(s) will be clearly marked, with policemen and/or volunteers throughout the route(s) for your safety.
Registration Packets (including T-Shirts) can be picked up on Friday, November 20, 2009 at the CASA Office: 210 Featherston, Cleburne, Texas, 76033 from 8-5. Also, Registration Packets (including T-Shirts) will be available for pickup at Fort Worth Running Club on Friday, November 20th, as well (Upon Request Only). Please call the CASA Office: 817-558-6995 (ext. 11) to request your Registration Packets (including T-Shirts) to be available for pickup in Fort Worth.
CASA hopes to unite with you and your kiddos in running child abuse out of town. Your participation makes a difference, so, walk, run, or jog and give a voice to Johnson County children. Race day volunteers are needed for water stops, registration, post race festivities, and set up/ take down. Please contact the office for more information as to how you can help make this event a success.
